“Even thought my country is not in the world cup I really enjoy watching the games. For me the world cup is so exciting and is an event that make people be together and enjoy the same passion.” Maroa Sanabia, Venezuela.

“I think the world cup is great because it helps to relieve this pressure between countries that comes with intercontinental commerce and conflict.” Spencer Green, Lafayette, LA.
“A great vent to bring many countries and people around the world together just like the Olympics. Even countries that do not participate enjoy spectating the event as soccer is international sport.” Mikhail Gaerlan, Philips.
“I think that the WC is the best sports event in the world! Especially when your country makes it. Chile hasn’t made it to the WC since 1998 and since they’re in it this year, it’s really exciting! I also think that we should be able to miss class in order to watch the WC since it is only on every four years that we can watch such amazing soccer” Ellie Harbaugh.
As you can see the opinions are different, but most people like soccer!
